Faith is finding a promise of God and daring to believe it.

The Lord’s people did not come into their inheritance because they weren’t prepared to risk believing what God had promised them.

Faith is like getting on a bus. Everyone who gets on a bus believes that the bus driver will take them to the place indicated by the sign on the bus.

As we grow in our discipleship we will find ourselves in situations where we have the opportunity to take God at his word. To say something, or do something on the grounds of what God has promised, to bring a kingdom perspective into the situation we are in.

For example, an opportunity to speak about Jesus to a non-believer, or to exercise your faith by praying for someone who is asking to be healed, or to share with God’s people a sense of what you sense the Spirit might be revealing as you worship together, or to give financially when you are short of money because you trust that God will supply your needs, or to give time to serving those in serious need, or to follow the Lord’s leading into situations where you can change the society and context around you, or to take a risk and start a new project or initiative for the Lord.
