A Child's Guide To: Telling the World About JesusSample

Bold and Bright
So Paul stood up in front of the council and said: People of Athens, I see that you are very religious…God has done all this, so that we will look for him and reach out and find him. He isn’t far from any of us, and he gives us the power to live, to move, and to be who we are. “We are his children,” just as some of your poets have said.
Acts 17:22, 27-28 (CEV)
A long time ago, in a busy city called Athens, people were shopping, going to work, and talking. Their city was filled with statues and pictures and buildings for people to worship all kinds of gods.
A Christian man named Paul came to the city to tell the people about a different God—the one true God who created everything and everyone. This God knew each person by name, loved them, and wanted them to worship only him. Many of the Athenians did not want Paul there speaking about God, but Paul knew he had to be bold and tell them the truth. He knew it would change their lives, if they only believed.
Thankfully, some of the Athenians believed Paul’s message and chose to follow Paul’s God, the one who gives all people power to “live and move and be who we are.” Because of Paul’s boldness, men and women came to faith in Jesus Christ.
Can you be bold for Jesus today? Ask him for the bravery to tell your friends about his great goodness and love. It will change their lives forever!
HERO TRAINING
One way to tell others about Jesus is by inviting them to church. Ask a parent if you can invite a friend to go to church with you this week.
GOD'S WONDERFUL WORLD
Bees teach each other which way to go to find flowers by doing a dance for the others. (We can teach other people about God!)
