You Can!Sample

Have you ever noticed how bugs are attracted to lights? They fly around street lamps, light bulbs, and porch lights. Believe it or not, this is because these bugs think these lights are the moon! Bugs use the moon to guide them, but artificial lights distract them from the moon. Would you be surprised if I said that we do the same thing?
Jesus describes himself as the light of the world. Yet, is he the light we always follow? Or, do we become distracted by artificial lights that feel more readily available? Sometimes our lives feel dark, and we need help knowing where to go. Like the bugs, we focus on the wrong lights and get pulled off course. Today, in your prayer time, ask Jesus to be the true light in the darkness in your life- be determined to focus on Him and only Him as much as possible throughout your day!
