Lent | Week 3: Living Out What Jesus TaughtSample

Trusting God's Timing
Waiting is hard, especially when we don’t understand why we’re waiting. When Lazarus died, Jesus didn’t immediately rush to heal him. Instead, he waited. He allowed the situation to unfold in God’s perfect timing.
In the waiting, we see a glimpse of Jesus’ humanity. He was right there weeping with Lazarus’s family. But at the same time, Jesus shows us his divinity in his moment. He still saw the bigger picture and knew this was part of the plan all along.
Sometimes we find ourselves in seasons of waiting. We may not understand why things aren’t happening as quickly as we want, but we can trust God’s timing. Where is God challenging you to have patience and trust his plan?
Pray: God, teach me to trust your timing, even when I don’t understand it. Help me wait with patience and faith. Amen.

About this Plan

In the third week of Lent, we’ll explore what it means to put Jesus’ words into action, from loving our enemies to forgiving freely and living with compassion. Following him isn’t just about what we believe - it’s about how we love, how we serve, and how we treat others every day. 📖 This is part 3 of a 6-week Bible Reading Plan series! Be sure to catch up with Week 1 and Week 2!
