40-Day Worship Experience Youth DevotionalSample

Today we are going to explore a third simple but valuable prayer: “Jesus, I trust You.” Trust means to rely on something or someone and to put your confidence in them, and it is foundational to your relationship with God.
Life is too big for anyone to handle on their own, no matter how capable we are. There are too many things we don’t know and can’t control.
Trust is the bridge that connects your limitations and God’s infinite knowledge and power. Trust is what allows you to rest in His grace and love even when life feels scary or overwhelming. When you pray, “Jesus, I trust You,” you are essentially saying, “I’m running to You, Lord, for refuge. I find my security in Your loving arms.”
The Bible says, “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and make the Lord their hope and confidence” (Jeremiah 17:7). The word “blessed” means to have God’s favor upon your life. When you trust Him, His power works for your good. You don’t have to have all the answers, do everything right, or know every detail about what the future holds. You simply rely on God, and you live with His favor and protection.
This morning, take a few seconds to pray, “Jesus, I trust You.” Release your worries and fears to Him, allow His presence to give you rest, and trust that His goodness is at work in your life.

Can you recall a time when you decided to trust God during a difficult period? How did that impact the situation or your feelings about it?

About this Plan

Welcome to the 40-Day Worship Experience Youth Devotional! This is a time each morning to experience God’s presence for yourself. First, find a quiet space to be alone with Jesus for fifteen minutes before you start your day. All you need is your Bible, worship music, and a place to write down any ideas that come to you. Then, use the devotional readings, Bible verses, and reflection questions as a starting point to spend a few minutes with God. As you do, I believe you’ll build an exciting relationship that will transform every area of your life.
