EquipHer Vol. 16: "Living the Vision"

DAY 2 OF 5

Day 2 – First You See It, Then You Build It

"You can’t build something you don’t see with the eyes of faith." – Melanie Cox

Imagine trying to build a house without a blueprint, without a map, without even knowing where to lay the foundation. How difficult would that be? That’s exactly how life feels without vision. Without a clear direction, every step seems uncertain, and every decision feels confusing. This is why vision is essential—it not only gives us a destination, but it also helps us build with purpose and determination.

Proverbs 29:18 warns us, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." Without a clear direction, we risk becoming stagnant, and vulnerable to distractions and the enemy’s deception.

Think about it: before Noah built the ark, God gave him a clear vision - a blueprint - of what he had to accomplish (Genesis 6:14-16). Noah is a great example of someone who was obedient to the vision God planted in his heart, even though he probably experienced difficulty understanding and seeing the bigger purpose God had behind the ark.

God has a clear vision for your life, but to see it, we must learn to look with spiritual eyes, not just human reasoning. 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us, "For we walk by faith, not by sight." If we rely only on what we can see and touch, we risk limiting ourselves to what seems possible in our own strength, ignoring the greater reality of God’s plan. God operates beyond our senses, preparing things our natural eyes cannot yet see—but faith enables us to step into them (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Reflect: If you had the absolute guarantee that God has already provided everything you need to fulfill the vision He has for you, what practical steps would you take today? Write down your answer. Then ask yourself: Why wait? Take action, because His promises are "Yes and Amen," and you are called to walk by faith.

Prayer: Father, I want to see with Your eyes. Open my mind and heart so I can discern the vision You have for my life. Help me not to be paralyzed by fear or uncertainty, but to walk by faith, knowing You have already prepared the way for me. Teach me to trust You and to see beyond my circumstances. Amen.

About this Plan

EquipHer Vol. 16: "Living the Vision"

God did not create us to live without direction but to walk with a clear vision and a precise purpose. In this devotional, we will explore how to discern God's will, translate it into concrete steps, and align ourselves with His vision—remembering that every act of obedience bears fruit, not just for our personal benefit, but also for the advancement of His Kingdom.
