Reading With the People of God #12 - the Good LifeSample

Your Mission, (name), should you choose to accept it
Many of you know that there is a series of action films starring Tom Cruise called 'Mission Impossible'. But did you know there was first a TV series from 1966 to 1973 called 'Mission: Impossible'? Each episode began with the team receiving information regarding a very important, sensitive, and dangerous mission. Along with all the information came this line that was repeated in each of the episodes:
“Your mission, should you choose to accept it....”
Jesus sends each of his disciples on a very important mission as well. It is not a safe and easy mission but one with eternal consequences and great rewards. So, like the line in the TV series, will you “choose to accept” the very important mission that Jesus has set before you? I pray that you will be challenged and encouraged as you read today!

About this Plan

This is the twelfth installment of a Bible reading plan following the lectionary pattern, offering daily readings from the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament. Each day includes a devotional primer to help prepare your heart and mind for a deeper, more meaningful encounter with Scripture. While this plan is designed to align with Holy Week in April, it can be used at any time, though it will be most relevant during that season.
