Strength for TomorrowSample

Day 6: Rahab – Trusting in God's Protection
Scripture: Joshua 2:8-13
Key Verse: “For the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.” – Joshua 2:11
Rahab was an unlikely hero. A Canaanite prostitute, she had no reason to trust the God of Israel except that she had only heard of His power. While the rest of Jericho trembled in fear, Rahab chose faith. She risked her life to hide the Israelite spies, trusting that their God was the true God.
In return, God protected her and her family when Jericho fell. Not only that, but Rahab became part of the lineage of Jesus (Matthew 1:5). Her story reminds us that God’s strength is not reserved for the perfect. It’s for everyone who puts their trust in Him.
No matter your past, your faith in God can change your future. When you take refuge in Him, He will be your strength and protection.
Prayer Focus: Thank God for His protection and grace. Ask for the strength to trust Him, even when taking a step of faith feels risky.

About this Plan

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.
