The Entrepreneur’s Devotional:13 Days to Kingdom ImpactSample

The Snowball Effect
In business, as in life, great things often begin with small, intentional steps. This concept is akin to the "Snowball Effect"—where a small action or decision, when consistently applied, gradually grows and gathers momentum, producing powerful results. This principle is evident in the Bible, showing that small seeds of faith, diligence, and integrity can grow into significant blessings.
Luke 16:10 (NKJV): “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Matthew 13:31-32 (NKJV): "Another parable He put forth to them, saying: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.’”
1. The Power of Small Beginnings
Both of these scriptures highlight the idea that even the smallest effort, when nurtured and developed over time, can lead to something far greater. Whether it's sowing a mustard seed or being faithful in small tasks, the Bible teaches that consistency in small matters prepares us for bigger things.
2. Faithful in the Small Things
Luke 16:10 reminds us that when we are faithful in small actions—be it a phone call to a potential client, a simple task at work, or a moment of kindness to a colleague—these efforts are not insignificant. They set the foundation for greater opportunities. In business, showing integrity and reliability, even in seemingly minor aspects, builds trust and opens doors for larger endeavors.
3. The Principle of Growth and Momentum
The snowball effect works much like the kingdom of heaven as described in Matthew 13:31-32. What begins as a small mustard seed of effort, faith, or idea can grow exponentially. In business, your small efforts may seem insignificant at first, but with persistence and a heart of faith, they will gather momentum. Like a snowball rolling downhill, your business and influence will grow stronger and larger, attracting more opportunities and people along the way.
4. Trusting God in the Process
Just as a snowball gathers more snow and gains size, your efforts in business—whether in sales, service, or operations—will accumulate. However, the growth is not solely due to your efforts but also because God is at work in the process. Trusting Him to bless and multiply your actions, no matter how small, allows you to experience the fruit of your labor in ways you may not have imagined.
Actionable Steps:
- Start with small actions today—whether it's reaching out to one new client, improving one small area of your business, or showing kindness to a coworker. These actions will grow and lead to greater things.
- Be consistent in your efforts, and trust God to multiply your faithfulness.
- Remember that every small decision made with integrity is preparing you for greater influence and impact.
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I trust that as I remain faithful in the small things, You will bless my efforts and multiply them beyond what I can imagine. Just as the snowball grows with momentum, I believe that my business, my relationships, and my influence will expand in Your timing and grace. I declare that I will not despise small beginnings, knowing that You are with me, and that You will bring about growth and success. In Jesus' name, Amen.
This declaration affirms that, just like the snowball effect, our faithfulness in small things, empowered by God, will lead to great results. Keep trusting, keep working, and watch as God multiplies your efforts.
