The Good News and the Bad NewsSample

Sōzō: Example 1
For God so loved THE WORLD. Salvation is not about what you do, but WHO you know. IT IS FOR EVERYONE!
The Greek word "sōzō" means: save, saved, whole, healed, delivered, to rescue from danger or destruction, rescue.
The word is used over 100 times in the New Testament to refer to the "complete package" of salvation, deliverance, and healing. There are many exciting stories to look at, but over the next three days, we will look at just three examples of when sōzō is used.
When we read Luke 19:10, we are reminded of two verses we read a few days ago in John 3. John 3:16-17 talks about Jesus being the Key to Everlasting Life and here in Luke, we can see again how Jesus is linked to Everlasting Life, also known as salvation or sōzō.
Luke 19:10 says, "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
This is pretty straightforward forward really and I’m sure you have guessed that the word "save", is sōzō in Greek. However, I am going to emphasize some words in this verse for you and hopefully, you will see something special.
The Son of Man (Jesus) has COME to SEEK and to SAVE that which was lost.
We often hear that WE should be the ones doing the seeking, looking for God, coming to Him. Whilst this is true and something important we should do, isn’t it awesome to know that Jesus is seeking US! He has COME to where we are, and He wants to SAVE us.
Write "saved" on your hand to remind you that you can’t save yourself and that Jesus is coming to seek and save you Himself.
