A Great HarvestSample

The Shepherd’s Heart
What does it mean to have the heart of a shepherd? Jesus shows us what true care and guidance look like.
The Bible frequently uses the metaphor of a shepherd to describe God’s care for His people. In Ezekiel 34:2-6, God criticizes Israel’s leaders for failing to shepherd His people well, leaving them scattered and vulnerable. But Jesus, the Good Shepherd, fulfills this role perfectly. He feeds, heals, and protects His sheep, guiding them to abundant life.
As workers in the harvest, we’re called to carry this shepherd’s heart into the world. This means investing in people’s lives, showing patience, and leading them toward Jesus. It also requires us to rely on the Holy Spirit for wisdom and strength as we guide others.
Ask God today to shape your heart into that of a shepherd—compassionate, patient, and focused on bringing His people closer to Him.
