Not Today, Please

Do you have an appointment today that you're not looking forward to at all?

Recently, I woke up in the morning, thinking about this task that I really didn't feel like doing, and I prayed: "Jesus, I would love to stay here with You."

And faster than I could react, the voice of the Holy Spirit within me responded: "Déborah... don't you believe what is written in the Word of God? Even though it feels so safe for you at home, and we experience so many wonderful moments in silence here at home, it doesn't mean that I am no longer by your side, no longer to be found out there in the hustle of your everyday life."

"Oh, right," I thought. How quickly we forget God's presence because everything else may have become louder for the moment. Yet He is always there, no matter where you go today:

"If I go up to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in the realm of the dead, you are there too! If I fly away with the wings of the dawn and land beyond the sea, even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would hold me fast!" (Psalm 139:8-10 NLT)

No matter where you go today, He will be there!

Even more; if you wanted to hide from Him, He would already be at the place of your hiding— and both for the same reason: Because He loves you!

"Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20 NLT)

So, I don't know about you but:

One thing becomes clear to me today: Father, You are indeed always here with me!

You are a miracle!
