The Bible for Young Explorers: NumbersSample

Looking to Jesus
God’s people complained again. They were bored with the long wilderness walk and didn’t like the food. Suddenly, a plague of poisonous snakes filled the camp, and they were terrified. But when Moses set a bronze snake on a pole, those who looked at the snake and believed were saved. In the New Testament, Jesus referred to this story. On the cross, he was lifted up like the bronze snake so that ‘whoever believes in him . . . [will] have eternal life’ (John 3:16).
