READ ACTS CHAPTER 7
As you read, practice the SOAP Bible Study Method:
- S - SCRIPTURE: Read through the whole chapter. As you read, circle, underline, or highlight words or phrases that stand out to you.
- O - OBSERVATION: Discover the context of the passage by asking these questions:
- Who wrote this? Who are the people mentioned?
- What is this about?
- When did this take place?
- Where did this take place?
- Why did the author include this passage? What is the intended purpose?
- A - APPLICATION: Find meaning to apply to your life today by thinking through the questions below. Write your thoughts in a journal or a notes app.
- What stood out to you from the reading?
- Was there anything confusing or troubling?
- Did anything make you think differently about God?
- How might this change the way you live?
- P - PRAYER: Finally, take a minute to talk to God in response to what you just read in this chapter.
