We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God - FebruarySample

February 5: Day 36 of 365
Devotional
As Jacob nears the end of his life, he blesses his grandsons, Ephraim and Manasseh, passing down the promises God made to Abraham. This act demonstrates Jacob’s deep faith in God’s covenant and His enduring faithfulness, which extends beyond one lifetime. The Holy Spirit reminds us that God’s work in our lives has a far-reaching impact. Our faithfulness, even in small moments, can influence future generations, creating a legacy that testifies to God’s goodness.
In Matthew 23, Jesus cautions against living a double life, emphasizing that our legacy is built not through outward appearances but through a sincere, Spirit-led walk with God. The Spirit works within us to align our lives with God’s truth, inviting us to live authentically so that others may see the faithfulness of God through us.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you live with a generational perspective. Let Him guide you to make choices that reflect God’s enduring faithfulness, knowing that your walk with God leaves an imprint on those who come after you.
