We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God - FebruarySample

February 20: Day 51 of 365
In Exodus 32, the Israelites fall into idolatry, crafting a golden calf and turning away from God. Yet, in Exodus 33, God responds to Moses’s intercession, restoring His presence among His people. The Holy Spirit calls us back to God when we stray, gently convicting and guiding us into repentance. He invites us to leave behind anything that distances us from God, welcoming us back into intimate fellowship.
In Mark 3, Jesus calls His disciples to be with Him—a call not only to ministry but to close, personal relationship. The Spirit draws us into this closeness, reminding us that God’s love is unwavering, ever ready to forgive and restore. Through repentance and grace, we find renewed connection and purpose in Him.
Today, ask the Spirit to reveal any areas where you’ve drifted. Let Him lead you back to God’s embrace, where His love restores and renews, drawing you deeper into His presence.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
