When the Going Gets ToughSample

Trying to Rationalize Suffering
The bulk of Job explores a conversation he has with his friends questioning the source of his suffering and even suggesting that it was Job's fault that his life was suddenly uprooted and in shambles.
Job, however, maintains his innocence and begs God to intervene on his behalf.
What this shows us is that we live in a broken world and sometimes, suffering is not a direct result of something we do.
It also shows us that it is okay to vocalize our pain instead of suppressing it or denying that it is there.
After Job and his friends go back and forth for some time, God appears.
