We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample

Day 53 of 365
In Exodus 36, the Israelites bring such generous offerings for the tabernacle that Moses has to tell them to stop. Their hearts overflowed with a desire to honor God, giving all they had for His dwelling place. The Holy Spirit stirs this same willingness in us, opening our hearts to give sacrificially and joyfully. When we surrender to His prompting, our gifts—no matter the size—become sacred offerings, pleasing to God.
In Mark 4, Jesus explains the parable of the sower, showing that a receptive heart is like good soil, ready to receive His Word and bear fruit. The Spirit prepares our hearts, cultivating openness and faith, so we can respond to God’s call with a genuine, willing spirit.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to make your heart willing and open. Surrender to His leading, trusting that even your smallest act of generosity or service will be multiplied by His power and love for God’s glory.
