We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample

Day 44 of 365
In the wilderness, God provides manna to the Israelites, teaching them to depend on Him each day. The Holy Spirit reminds us that God longs to meet our daily needs, inviting us to lean on Him as our Provider. True dependence is trusting God for each day’s “bread,” believing that He is attentive to every need of our hearts.
Meanwhile, Jesus stands trial, facing rejection and condemnation so that we could be free. This is the daily bread that fills our souls: the freedom Jesus purchased on the cross. The Spirit deepens our understanding of this freedom, teaching us that it’s not found in independence but in surrender to God’s provision and love.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to teach you true dependence. Let Him fill you with gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice, our ultimate “daily bread.”
