We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample

Day 302 of 365
Hebrews 4 speaks of a promise of rest for God’s people, a rest that transcends physical comfort and reaches deep into the soul. This divine rest is a gift, available to those who trust in God and surrender their burdens to Him. In Jeremiah 23, God promises a righteous Branch—a foreshadowing of Jesus—who would lead His people to safety and peace. The Holy Spirit draws us into this rest, teaching us to find true peace in God’s presence, where we can lay down our striving and find renewal.
Entering God’s rest means releasing our need to control every outcome and trusting that God’s grace is sufficient. The Spirit guides us to a place of surrender, where we can experience freedom from anxiety and fear. This rest is not inactivity; it’s a state of heart where we are at peace, knowing God is with us and for us. As we embrace this rest, we are rejuvenated, better able to serve and love others from a place of strength and peace.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to lead you into God’s rest. Release your worries and trust in His provision, allowing His peace to fill every part of your life. May you find strength and joy in God’s rest, inspiring others to seek the peace only He can provide.
