It Costs You Everything.

“The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” — Proverbs 4:7 NIV

Get Wisdom–though it costs you everything. Get understanding. Proverbs‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ declares, “Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square;” Although information is readily available—Wisdom, the application of information—is priceless.

It takes Wisdom to apply the Principles and Precepts of the Word of God. It takes understanding to appropriately discern your season. In fact, according to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Wisdom” is ḥāḵmâ (H2451), which means, “Skill (in war), wisdom (in administration), shrewdness, wisdom, prudence (in religious affairs), wisdom (ethical and religious).”

Wisdom is skilled Warfare. In most parts of the world, almost anyone can access the Word of God. Though God’s Word is readily available, unpacking and applying its revelation—is priceless. Anyone can access the information and read the Word of God, but understanding the Principles and Precepts of God is precious.

For Matthew 7:6 KJV declares, “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” Wisdom is precious. Choose not to cast Wisdom before swine for they will render it useless and turn again and rend you.

Choose to sow your “pearls” wisely. ‘Pearls’ are Principles and Precepts accumulated through learned experience developed over time. Pearls are precious and Wisdom is priceless. Sow your pearls as God leads. Sow in Wisdom. Sow freely. Sow often. Discern where you’re sowing. Discern who you’re sowing into. Discern your season. Discern your “sow” for it costs you everything.
