Living in Increase (Part 11) - Increase in JoySample

Thankful for Benefits
It’s easy to get distracted and forget what God has done for us. Psalm 103 reminds us that God has done good things for us, and we are to remember and praise Him for them! Some versions of the Bible call this list “benefits.” Like an employee has access to benefits through their workplace, we, as Christians, have access to exclusive benefits through God our Father. If you need something else to be thankful for today, thank God for these:
Forgiveness. God has forgiven you for your past, present, and future sins. This is a wonderful reason to be thankful!
Healing. God promises us the benefit of healing. Whether we receive it on earth or in heaven, we can thank God for His healing power.
Redemption. God can redeem anything! Romans 8:28 says He “works everything for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose.” Thank God today that He’s working some things out for your good!
Love and mercy. God shows us immense love and mercy and equips us with love and mercy to care for others. Thank God for His love and mercy towards you and that you have endless love and mercy for people today!
Good things. God fills our lives with good things. James 1:17 says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” If something good is happening in your life, thank God for it. It was His doing!
Renewed youth. God blesses us with these “benefits” to restore our youth. Focusing on the benefits He’s provided for us takes the pressure off of us. We feel lighter and freer, like a child who’s innocent and hopeful.
