Have you ever looked down on someone because they were different from you?

In John 4 Jesus specifically says that He "must needs go through Samaria." He had a purpose for taking a travel route that was uncommon to the Jews in that period. He had a divine appointment with a Samaritan woman who was getting water from Jacob's well. This was a woman, who was of a different race from Jesus, who believed in a different religion than the Jews, and who had a history of public sin and shame. Jesus broke many cultural norms by talking with her, showing that He came for everyone, no matter their gender, race, religious background, or sinfulness. Jesus showed that He loves everyone and that the gospel is the power to save anyone who believes!

How can you treat others with love and respect, the same way Jesus did? Who is very different from you, that God wants you to be a blessing to today?
