Have you ever followed a religious tradition, only to find out it was not instructed by God and was made by man?

The Pharisees were masters at creating regulations and imposing them on the Jewish people. This allowed them to maintain a sense of control and superiority over the average Jew. When Jesus confronted them about their man-made rules, they were very upset.

As discerning Christians, we should "fact-check" religious rules with what the Bible clearly teaches. If a teaching is not commanded in scripture or rooted in a Biblical principle, then one should investigate to understand if the teaching is of God, or was created by man.
