A Year in Luke/ActsSample

The flexibility of the early church stands out because they were not afraid to make changes that were needed, both to the structure of the movement but also to the personnel in leadership. When faced with a complaint from a minority group, the apostles do not double down on authority but show flexibility and wisdom.
The result of this flexibility is telling:
“The word of God continued to spread; the number of the disciples increased greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith.” Acts 6:7
Let’s continue meditating and reflecting on what innovation might look like for us personally. Stephen is an example of someone who took his role within the church community very seriously. What would it look like for us to all do the same?
