A Year in Luke/ActsSample

God cares a lot about our motivations and we see this as he begins to move into a discussion with the Pharisees. They mock his warnings of abstaining from the love of money, because they themselves are blinded by their own love of money. This is when Jesus dives deeper into the heart of the matter. We see him begin to explain that God truly cares about our motivations more than anything — and only he can truly see what is in our heart. Typically those who wish to seem righteous before man, are found unrighteous before God.
