God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

1 John– Day 2
We often hear about becoming more like Jesus, growing in Christlikeness, or walking in the Footsteps of Christ, but what does that look like practically? What does it really mean to live like Jesus? We can try to come up with deep philosophical responses, but the answer is quite simple. To live like Jesus is to Love like Jesus.
John, who was not only a Biblical author but one of Jesus’s disciples and closest friends, tells us we walk like Jesus walked when we keep His Commandment to Love our neighbor as ourselves. If we find ourselves wondering how Jesus would respond in any given situation, the answer is always the same … Love.
Today, pray and ask the Lord to show you how to best Love the people He has placed in your life. Ask Him for the Strength to do it, then do it!
