God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

1 Timothy — Day 3
The qualifications for a church leader seem pretty obvious: good manners, faithful in marriage, well-behaved kids, and no hearty partying. But in 1 Timothy 3:7, Paul includes one unexpected item, have a good reputation outside the church. Why do we care what outsiders think?
As Christians, we represent Jesus everywhere we go, whether we’re a leader or not. When we are a different person in different places, we give all Christians and Jesus a bad name. And for some people, you and I may be the only example of Jesus they ever meet. And if we demonstrate over-the-top abundant love to everyone every time, those outsiders could turn to Jesus and become insiders!
