Jesus: Hope for the FutureSample

There is no greater name than Jesus.
We say this often, but these particular verses give us more insight to understand exactly why Jesus is the name above all other names. Pay attention to verse 9 where it says, “for this reason.” The name of Jesus is exalted because Jesus did not exploit his position. He was obedient to the point of death. Jesus didn't try to wiggle his way out of bearing the cross. And we are called to follow in his footsteps.
We are called to obedience and submission. And we must be obedient and submissive even in our most challenging seasons, just like Jesus. How beautiful that our savior doesn’t require something of us that he hasn’t already done.
Obedience and submission are so important in our walk with Christ, and I pray that even in your toughest circumstances you can lean into submitting to God's will for your life. God is and will always be in control. And everything must submit to the powerful name of Jesus--even your circumstances.
I encourage you to trust in His sovereignty and declare that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess.
