Parable of the Bigger Barns
In Luke 12:16-21, Jesus shares the parable of the rich fool, often called the parable of the bigger barns. In this story, a wealthy man's land produces an abundant harvest, prompting him to tear down his existing barns and build larger ones to store all his crops and goods. Satisfied with his material success, he plans to relax and enjoy his wealth for years. However, God admonishes him, calling him a fool for focusing solely on earthly riches and neglecting the state of his soul. That very night, the man dies, leaving behind all his wealth without having the chance to enjoy it or benefit from it spiritually.
