“Prepare the way for the Lord…"
Israel was weary from waiting, hoping for deliverance, and longing for the fulfillment of God’s promises. Into this longing, God’s voice breaks through: “Prepare the way for the Lord… And the glory of the Lord will be revealed.”
Today, we’re invited into this same hope. God’s promise of comfort is a reality fulfilled in Jesus, who came to be Emmanuel (God-with-us). He is the One who meets us in our struggle and gently leads us to His incomparable peace.
As we reflect on these words, let’s prepare our hearts to welcome Him and consider how we can be part of preparing the way for His hope and comfort in our world.
