Preparing for ChristmasSample

In the humblest of places, God revealed His love in the form of a tiny, vulnerable baby, born in a stable because there was no room for Him elsewhere. Jesus, though He was fully God, chose to come down into our world in the most modest way, setting aside all glory and power to be with us. This profound act of humility invites us to bow our hearts in wonder. Just as Jesus gave up His heavenly status to walk among us, we too are called to live with humility—letting go of our pride and self-centeredness. In every moment we surrender, we reflect the same love and humility that was born in Bethlehem, allowing God’s presence to shine through us.

About this Plan

This 25-day Advent devotional was created from CornerstoneSF's video devotional series, Rise & Shine. With videos every day except Sundays, this devotional invites us to open our hearts and prepare for the coming of Jesus. It will begin broadly and then focus deeply on Mary’s experience, highlighting how her humility, faith, and openness paved the way for Christ’s birth. Through her example, we are encouraged to cultivate a heart ready to receive the Savior, embracing His love and presence in our lives.
