The Fire WithinSample

THROUGH THE FIRE READ The three men were thrown into the fire and yet they were not harmed. In fact, the king could see them walking around and not even smelling like smoke or fire. And walking with them was one who looked like “a son of the gods.” This was Jesus entering the young men’s situation. In the same way, we all go through difficult situations. The thing that our Christian faith promises us is we have a God who is willing to enter into our situation. The Bible says that Jesus became human and experienced a full human life. He did this so that He could bring us out of our dark, sinful lives and into the glorious plan that God has for us. Think about what this means! Right now, your God is walking with you even in your most difficult circumstance. You don’t need to fix it before you go to God. He will come to you and be with you. He will make sure you get through alright. There is nothing to fear. REFLECT 1. Are there moments in your life when you doubt that God is with you? How does this Word help address those doubts? 2. What difficult situation are you in right now? How does your perspective change knowing that God is with you and nothing can be against you? RESPOND 1. Read Romans 8:31-35. Remind yourself that nothing can separate you from Jesus’ powerful love. 2. Face your next difficult situation with confidence knowing that God is with you and will not abandon you. Remember this even in the middle of the problem.
