Nature’s Testimony

All of creation testifies to the nature of God. To get to know God, we read the Bible, pray, go to church, and do all the normal stuff Christians are “supposed” to do. But have you ever reflected on nature and what it shows you about God? Try it! What does a sunset tell you about God? Sunsets show me that God has an artistic nature. He loves color and variety. He is a master artist that likes to paint the sky. Sunsets also reveal to me the faithfulness of God. The sun rises and sets—every day without fail. He is steady. He is faithful. We can always count on Him. What do you learn about God from nature? What does grass teach you? Trees, flowers, ants? The ocean, mountains, prairies? Lions, cows, and dogs? As you go about your day, take time to observe the nature around you and contemplate what invisible qualities it reveals to you about God.

Prayer: God, it’s so amazing to think You’ve hidden a piece of Yourself in every part of creation. Open my eyes to see You in the nature around me. Amen.
