Lie: You Can Live However You Want Without Consequences
A common lie is that we can live however we want without facing any consequences. The Bible is clear throughout that our choices matter.
Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Our actions have results, whether they are good or bad. Imagine planting seeds in a garden. If you plant apple seeds, what would you expect to grow? Apples right? It would be crazy to get oranges, grapes, pineapple, or anything else. It is the same way with how our actions lead to certain consequences.
The enemy wants us to not think about the future, and to do whatever we want right now. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” Something that appears to be right in the moment, but in the future leads to death. Your actions matter. Your words matter. The choices you make matter. How you live matters. Let’s choose today to live to honor God!
