James: Wisdom to Lead: A 5-Day Reading Plan With Nicole SmitheeSample

Key Verse: James 3:17 NIV
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Reflection:
Take inventory of how your words impact those around you. Are your words building others up and shaping environments for the better? Ask God to purify your heart and allow words that glorify God to be spoken. Invite the Holy Spirit to bridle your tongue as you go about your day. Reflect on the words you speak throughout the day. Jot down observations about what you spoke and let the Holy Spirit reveal to you where your heart and mind can be renewed to God’s will through this exercise.
