Acts 1:12-26 | the Need for PrayerSample

One final point of focus: pray regardless of need.
It can be easy to read Acts 1 and walk away thinking that prayer is something we use to get an answer from God. Prayer is not just a means to an end. It’s a central part of a relationship with God. God wants you to talk to Him - not just to get something. But because you want to.
We started this plan talking about the need for prayer. Let’s end it talking about the gift of prayer. Consider this for just a moment. The God of this universe and King Jesus from heaven is inviting you to talk with Him. Staggering! Take Him up on it.
If this plan helped orient you to the ongoing work and teaching of Jesus in this world, we encourage you to subscribe to our other plans on Acts.
About this Plan

Acts is a story rooted in prayer and shows how those first Christians went about discerning Christ’s will. This 5-day plan continues a journey through the book of Acts, the Bible’s gripping sequel of Jesus at work in the life of his followers as he expands his kingdom to the ends of the earth. It’s a journey on what it means to be a Christian. It’s a story in which you have a role to play.
