1 Kings 22 tells of Ahab’s death. His son Ahaziah followed him as king and as a follower of false gods. Elijah passed spiritual leadership in Israel to Elisha.

Ahab passed his evil tendencies from father to son and Elijah passed his devotion to God from mentor to protégé. Although sometimes good leaders are followed by bad ones and vice versa, we should be doing all we can to set a positive example for future leaders.
