Spiritual wounds are a deep topic with many moving parts. The Bible discusses these wounds throughout scripture. Psalm 147:3 states, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." A spiritual wound can be something we have not let go of from the past. Maybe someone did something horrible to us, and we never moved on. Perhaps we did something in the past and never told anyone. When we don't heal from our sin or something that wounded us, it can create a foothold for the enemy to latch onto. We must look to the Cross and see this pain in its light to break free from these things. When we look at any wound or hurt in our hearts in light of the Cross, we can see Jesus's power. If we allow Him, Jesus is the wounded lamb who will bear every burden and wound in our hearts so we can live healthy, whole spiritual lives completely free from our past and walk in the new creation Jesus brought us into. We have heard it and know it in our minds, but when we experience the healing power and presence of Jesus, our minds and hearts collide, bringing us into a beautiful revelation of his love for us! We pray that every one of you would open up your hearts and that any hurt, insecurities, or wounds would be fully brought to the light so you can become the light, truth, and beacon of love that God created you to be!
