Connecting With God | Dive DeeperSample

Week 4 | Thankfulness
Day Three
Spend some time in prayer before you begin.Thank God for this word and ask Him to reveal to you His truth in it.
- Read Psalms 77:10-15 again but this time try reading it in a different version than you did before, look up the definitions of words you don’t know, summarize what the passage is saying in your own words.
- Do some research, who wrote Psalm 77? When was it written? To whom was it written? What genre of writing is it (Historical narrative, poetry, wisdom literature, law, prophesy, parables, epistles)? Why is all of this important?
- Do you think this passage teaches us about God’s creation, man’s sin, God’s redemption of man, or God’s restoration of man to Himself? It can be more than one. Why is it important to think about this?
- How does remembering the deeds God has done in your life and the lives of your family members and friends change how you view Him? Why do you think He works miracles for us?
- When you read “what god is as great as our God” do you believe it in your heart that our God is the one true God? Why or why not? If not, what is stopping you?
- Spend some time in prayer as you close, try to write a list of 5 miracles God has worked in Scripture. Thank Him for those miracles.
