The American Bible Challenge Bible Study - Part 1Sample

Hey there! Sometimes we don’t know what to pray. A few days ago, we looked at one great option - The Lord’s Prayer. It contains important things for us to pray about. We’ll look at another option today. It’s a prayer of King David, a prayer that asks for forgiveness. It’s also a prayer for God-honoring behavior in the future. Let’s look at Psalm 19:12-14.
Reflection:
Make this passage your prayer to God. I encourage you to repeat it out loud several times. Are there willful sins that come to mind? Are there specific situations when it’s easy to say things you regret or difficult topics that overwhelm your thinking? What does David mean when he wrote “may they not rule over me”? As we continue to pray to God in the coming days, may we experience the strength of our Rock and the freedom of our Redeemer.
