Holding on to Hope in Your Waiting Season a 5-Day Plan by Krista PettifordSample

Fix Your Hope
In hope, he believed against hope that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told.
Romans 4:18
The Greek word hope in Romans 4:18 means anticipating something with pleasure, expectation, and confidence.
It is natural to hope for something when we can foresee the outcome. It's acceptable to lose hope when the odds are stacked against us and our situation seems unchangeable. But God calls us to a hope that goes against our natural feelings.
Once you surrender the timing of your promise to the Lord, there will still be moments when you feel like giving up hope. These are the moments when God calls us to fix our hope on Him, regardless of our circumstances.
How do we fix our hope in God when our situation feels like we have been put on hold and, at times, things seem to be worsening?
Hope in God is a choice we must make. Sometimes, we must make that choice every day, especially when it feels like the heaviness of our situation is taking a toll on our faith.
We fix our hope in God by looking away from the things that contradict our faith and looking to Him. We set our hearts to rejoice in God and confidently expect Him to do what He told us He would do.
Beloved, when you feel your hope fading, look to God, delight in Him, and focus your faith on the vision of promise like it is already done.
About this Plan

Krista Pettiford encourages believers in a waiting season not to give up when God gives them an impossible-sized promise – something contrary to what our circumstances conclude that only God can do. God kept His word to Abraham and Sarah after waiting twenty-five years because they held to their hope, and He will do the same for you.
