What does the invitation into sonship really look like?
Sonship is:
- Releasing our earthly fathers from the pressure of letting us down.
- Letting God bring men into your life to pour into you and “father” you.
- Opening yourself to adventures that He will use to assure you that “you can do it” and that “you have what it takes”.
- Turning to God when you don’t know what to do and asking Him for His fathering hand to pull you up and lead you.
- Asking God to bring you a band of brothers to encourage, lead, support, strengthen, hold you accountable and sharpen you.
- Becoming free of the need to pose. Being honest with yourself and others about what you do not know and learning from others.
Sonship from your Father is His perfect love and intimate interest and pursuit of you as his son. You are powerful as His son. You are powerful as a brother of Jesus Christ. You are powerful through the mentoring of the Holy Spirit.
