Sit, Walk, Stand - a 40 Day Walk Through of EphesiansSample

Eph 6:13
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
'Therefore' is the conjunction that concludes the previous verses. Because we are facing spiritual opposition, we must fight with spiritual weaponry. You don't bring a knife to a gunfight, and you don't bring natural weapons to a spiritual fight. Paul is about to introduce 'the full armor of God' and emphasizes the necessity of putting on every piece of it.
“When the evil day comes” echoes Jesus’ words in John 16:33 “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
We must not be naive. The fight WILL be brought to our doorstep, but once the dust settles, we will be able to remain standing.
Which part of the ground you're standing on do you feel is contested?

About this Plan

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? The Christian walk can make you feel like striving when really everything has been done for you by Jesus, but there is still so much to be done. This is the tension every Christian walks in. The tension between the NOW & the NOT-YET. We are SEATED with Jesus, now WALK IT OUT, so that you may STAND.
