Sit, Walk, Stand - a 40 Day Walk Through of EphesiansSample

Eph 5:6-20
The theme of the letter is to remind the readers to live out the gospel. “Live as children of the light. (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:8-10)
As Christians, we live in the tension between “now” & “not yet”. God IS pleased with you through Jesus and from that place, we now seek to live a life that pleases God.
The truth is that we all drift or stumble.
1 Corinthians 10:12
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!
This happens when we lose the edge, and get lazy or complacent. And complacency corrupts character. We drift or get deceived
Ephesians 5:15-16
Be very careful, then, how you live —not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Let us live lives that have a tone and theme of joy and gratitude, one that glorifies God and encourages each other.

About this Plan

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? The Christian walk can make you feel like striving when really everything has been done for you by Jesus, but there is still so much to be done. This is the tension every Christian walks in. The tension between the NOW & the NOT-YET. We are SEATED with Jesus, now WALK IT OUT, so that you may STAND.
