Have you ever noticed how quickly middle school can change? One day, you're the oldest in elementary, and the next, you're a 6th grader trying to find all your new classes. One month, you're the shortest in your class; the next, you’re taller than everyone around you. One week, you’re eating lunch with the same group; the next, you’re at a different table. Life is changing fast, isn’t it? Well, Scripture reminds us that when we put our faith in Jesus, change comes with it. We become a new creation—a changed person! And because of that change, we no longer have to navigate the rapid changes of life in middle school on our own. That means you have the power of God working in you—the new you—to guide you as you go.
This week, set a reminder to read 2 Corinthians 5:17 out loud at the same time every day. Ask God to help you internalize the Truth that you are a new creation!
