Have you ever been on a boat in the ocean? Or seen a wild video of boats in stormy seas? Even on calm days, the ocean waves can be intense. The ocean pretty much has its way with anything out on the water, especially in a storm. However, there is one thing that keeps boats from being completely thrown around—an anchor. In the same way, an anchor offers stability for a ship, we too can have an anchor for our lives. The author of Hebrews says the anchor of our soul is hope. And that hope is the certainty of God’s promise.
