Psalm 103 - a Blueprint for GratitudeSample

Different Circumstances, Same God!
The Bible is filled with various kinds of literature – poems, proverbs, wisdom sayings, historical biographies, songs of lament and praise, letters, prophecies, census data and stories. Sometimes it’s difficult to remember that these stories were written about people just like us with similar temptations, lusts, feelings and problems. Often that’s because the circumstances of the stories seem so distant from us. The settings and the culture feel alien and unreal. But even when that is the case, one thing that we can be sure of is that the God who revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel is the same God who is here with us today.
We have the benefit of a relationship with a God who is unchanging and faithful. Even when we are unsure of his existence or can’t feel his presence in our lives, the stories remind us otherwise. He was faithful then and he is faithful now. The circumstances may change but our God remains the same!
