The Gospel One Psalm at a TimeSample

Psalm 82: A Cry for God's Justice
In Psalm 75, we hear God speaking and promising his justice. In Psalm 82, we hear a cry and lament for God’s justice to come. Now, there are three kinds of people mentioned in the Psalm who need justice: the weak who are unable to defend themselves, the needy who are unable to provide for themselves, and the fatherless who are without paternal care. In those three words, you get a definition of what justice does: justice defends, justice provides, and justice protects.
