Called to Write

DAY 3 OF 5

What is your good news?

Scripture:

The mighty Spirit of Lord YAHWEH is wrapped around me because YAHWEH has anointed me, as a messenger to preach good news to the poor. He sent me to heal the wounds of the brokenhearted, to tell captives, “You are free,” and to tell prisoners, “Be free from your darkness.” Isaiah 61:1 TPT

Reflection:

When Jesus preached His first sermon in the synagogue, He quoted from the book of Isaiah. He declared that He was anointed to bring a message. He knew what that message was. He had good news for the poor.

You too are anointed to bring a message. You are a unique expression of the Father’s heart, called to bring a specific message. There may be other messengers who have written books on a similar topic, but only you can express the incomparable message that God has written on YOUR heart.

Activation:

Ask the Holy Spirit:
a. What is the good news that I am called to share?
b. Who is the poor that my message needs to reach?

Write down what He reveals to you.

Make this your declaration:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for trusting me with the message of your kingdom. Help me to be faithful in stewarding that message. Show me how to reach the people that your message was intended for. Thank you for daily leading me in this calling.

In Jesus's name, amen.
